Actuaries sure like to talk about $$$$ except when they hear that someone else makes more then them and they can't comprehend why. They have X exams and Y years of experience so they should make exactly the same as their friend who has X exams and Y years of experience!

I have to disagree with the bolded part. This was originally posted in General Actuarial, where the choice of words caused me to request that it be moved. It's less of a problem now, in the Careers forum, where the CJ terminology is used a lot.

IMO, what new people see is not actually the pro-P&C bias, but the continual reference to it as a kind of running joke. FWIW, I don't think it's all that funny, but in Careers, folks are easily amused by it.
