Default 31 Days Of Oscar

So when TCM has there 31 days of Oscar (February into March) I DVR every movie I haven't seen.

Am I the only one who gets disappointed when a mediocre film is there due to a nomination for best Costume Design or Best Dance Choreography. At least show the winners

I'm with you brother, but just slightly disappointed. For people like us, it is refreshing that they continue to air plenty of movies that we have not seen. I love when I can clearly add a movie to my top 100. I need to donate some more money to TCM. At some point, all the movies remaining to be seen will be mediocre. Maybe after another 20 years....

In ICM (I Check Movies) there is someone who creates a list of all movies on TCM in a given month. I download it into an Excel file that I then compare to my various lists I want to see.

I added another 1800 at some point including all Oscar nominees, a few favorite actors, Golden Globe acting nominees. If I stuck to my primary list I wouldn't get many movies.

In a non-Oscar month, it still may only be 20-30 movies that I add

Well, they don't have access to all movies ever.
I think they are showing every possible Oscar-nom film in their rights collection.

Not dropping any other Oscar-nom film just for the film with a single costume design nom.
