That makes sense.

That's an EBA thread though. We should let that one go.

In Hokkaido, the far northern lands of Japan, Sugimoto survived the Russo-Japanese war of the Meiji era. Nicknamed "Sugimoto the Immortal" during the war, he now seeks the riches promised by the gold rush in hopes of saving the widowed wife of his now deceased comrade from the war. During his hunt of gold, he finds hints of a hidden stash of gold by corrupt criminals. Partnering with an Ainu girl that saves his life from the harsh climates of the north, they venture into a survival adventure to race against the criminals that seek the hidden stash.

Cowboy Bebop is getting a live action series on Netflix starring John Cho, and not a white guy. Good start to the production, imo.

I am not a connoisseur of anime by any means. But my daughter and I did just finish watching Princess Tutu. I thought it was pretty good. I'm big into classical music and ballet (as is she), so the interweaving of classical and ballet motifs was particularly fun, as was the slowly revealed mythology within the fictional construct (sounds snobby, but makes sense in context of the show).

Anyway, if you disagree with me, then I SHALL BE FORCED TO MARRY YOU!!!! <scratches post>

I don't remember how it got on my list, but I watched Girls Und Panzer. A girl who grew up in a family famous for "tankery" intentionally moves to a high school that doesn't offer a tankery class, only to find out a program is starting up and she's being coerced into it. It was OK. The name says it all - girls and tanks. I felt a little embarrassed for watching it in general, and particularly when there were two scenes where the class is in a spa pool naked.

I also caught the first episode of Food Wars. I think one episode might be enough. I expect each episode would have what the first had - someone eating food that is so good it's orgasmic and all their clothes come off and they're lying there on the floor.

Bumping this thread to tell everyone to go watch Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Shonen action show with beautiful animation and an emotionally intelligent protagonist. First couple episodes are a little slow, but after that it's just non-stop greatness.
