Bigger goals? How will that affect the number of wins?

Yes. Very fun book. King is more of a sidekick (with the nice box seats), but his passages are the best.

You should use "Defending Champion Red Sox (tm)" every time instead of just "Red Sox."

The ending of Dark Tower 7 is the end of Stephen King's writing career, as far as I'm concerned.

So lets see, last year the Yanks were in last place and failed to win it all. This year the Sox are in last place. Not really the point I was going for, but if that's the way you want to look at it. Fine.

Yanks were in last place after day one and won the division though....

Yes, I read it. Enjoyable for the most part. King takes a back seat for the first half of the season, but then takes over for the second half. As King completely outclasses O'Nan in both eloquence and content, the second half is much better (not to mention the fact that the second half of the season was better than the first half).

King is truly a funny guy.

I especially liked King's descriptions of his everyday life. I sometimes forget that celebrities are "real people," too. Especially someone like King who lives in ME. For some reason it surprised me that he drives back and forth from ME (I think he said 8 hours). I never pictured him behind the wheel, listening to tunes, cruising up the highway. I guess I'm just easily amused, but I enjoyed those passages.
