Do you have a link for this? All I can find is $50. https://www.amazon.com/All-New-Amazo...re%2B7%22&th=1. My son would probably return the one he just bought and buy this if he can for $30.

I saw it advertised on best buy and amazon. Might be a black friday deal. I would imagine it will appear on Thursday again.

I'm looking at the SAMSUNG 860 EVO Series which has both versions on special on newegg. Is the speed dependent on the SLC/MLC/TLC or is there some other spec I'm missing?

The main difference is in price and durability, with SLC being the most expensive and most durable (in terms of number of writes), and TLC being the least on both measures.

Pulled the trigger on Samsung's VR. Awkward because my desktop is in storage, and may not have the necessary GPU, and I don't even like AAA type gaming.

OTOH I've been jealously eyeing VR for years now.

You have more than a month to pull it out of storage and get a suitable GPU. The page says it will ship the week of December 23.

Yeah, judging by reviews, this one is a step up over the Rift for a little less $$$, but it sounds like it's largely a matter of which flaws you're willing to put up with the most. Also, I wouldn't count on BF producing any better deals than have already been advertised.

Ha, oh well. I think they are also available in Microsoft Stores right now for the same price.

Uh, not totally sure. There are oculus games that are available to wmr and the oculus via something called revivie. And there are vive games on the steam store, that you can play with oculus or wmr. I think in general you can play any game. But it's at least possible you'll run into controller issues?

This can't track the controllers if they go behind your back, but I don't think??? that matters.

Probably yes, with Riftcat Vridge software. It allows Rift and Vive games to be played on various other headsets.
