Good point -- mine is set up in the basement in the room where all the house wiring, electrical panel, etc. termintates, so there's not much else in there.

Wipeout HD
Thumper
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes
Beat Sabre is coming out soon
I second Keep Talking -- that game is so much fun and a cool way to play co-op with VR (the bomb technician is in VR and the other players are using the regular screen).

Other favorites:
Tetris Effect
Job Simulator (fun, but silly)
Farpoint
Arkham VR

I have the beefy new gaming rig (self built) and the Oculus Rift.

It is really cool technology. I really want to get some non-game oriented software, specifically design software so I can design virtual rooms, decorate, move walls, etc and really feel like I can walk through the house.

But in the meantime, we use it for games. My teens really like a game that is similar to guitar hero, except that you are holding two light sabers and you slash the notes as they come at you with the light sabers.

The tech is really cool, and I can see it becoming more and more common. I didn't think the VR premise of "Ready Player One" was unrealistic, given that it was set 25 years into future.

Bottom line G-Egg... if you can afford a BGE, you are likely able to afford a PS4 with VR rig. The advantage to an Oculus is that there may be non-game applications.

We already have a PS4, so I'd only need to pay for the bundle.

His gaming stuff is set up in a room where everything is pretty easily cleared out of the way, so we're good there, too.

Sounds like it wouldn't be money thrown away, and he could have good fun with it. Plus, I think he's trying to make ours the place where his buddies come over more often, and this would be a step in that direction.

Thanks, guys!
