Macroman is up a pawn with two past pawns in end game vs me. We'll see if I can hang on or not.

Bravesandf has the initiative against me in our game, but even material so far.

I defeated 1695814. I gave the King's Gambit Accepted, with 3. Bc4 a whirl. I saw a youtube video by GingerGM last month where he advocated this line instead of 3. Nf3, and said not to worry about Qh4+ as g3 is a good enough weapon to counter it. I enjoyed the novelty of it, and it puts a lot of pressure on black's king, but it always felt like I was right on the cusp of my attack fizzling out and my king being left stranded.

In this game I thought I should have played g3 one move earlier, and was worried for the d5 push that would free your bishop up and block my bishop targeting the f7 square. Your bishop on g7 seemed well placed as well. I hadn't come across it being placed there in any games before, but it was in a good spot and I think if you had played h6 on move 10 that would have made things fairly even.

I'm using the excuse that I'm spending all of my brainpower studying for an exam.

I blundered my queen to bravesandf and resigned. Feels badddddddddd. Tunneled into maintaining pressure on c1 and just fumbled, realized as soon as I completed the move.

Also, I think I missed a winning opportunity against macroman in our pawn end game and will now eventually lose, but we'll see, maybe can force a draw. I don't know my end game stuff that well though.
