I don't know if it's some/many/most, I honestly have no idea what all $$$ drugs are out there for neuro, endocrine, ophthalmology, retina, etc. In the oncology space there are a lot of drugs with questionable value. Provenge comes to mind, or Zaltrap, and we use waaaaaay to many growth factors in the metastatic setting. Too many $$$ drugs near the end of life with no value.
sounds like we agree. Its just really hard at the end of life to make the right decision and stay rational to the end.

Sounds like we might draw the line differently. But we seem to agree in principle that there is fat that can be trimmed. We can take our differences to one of the myriad threads on health costs. The Ďarbitrary pharma pricesí thread might be relevant.
