closed out the Rocket League season last night with a couple wins, but overall I wasn't feeling it and couldn't rank up in 1's. Final rankings for this guy:

3's: Silver 3, div 1
2's: Silver 2, div 3
1's: Bronze 3, div 3
Rumble: Gold 2, div 1
Snow day: Gold 1, div 3

Then it had to compete with the first Destiny and CoD Advanced Warfare (which tried to mimic a lot of the movement style), and the player base took a pretty big hit. TF2 released on a more traditional fall schedule, and the twitch streams I watched from it made it seem like there weren't enough players online to make it worth a purchase.
Not sure what you saw to make you feel this. I played TF2 for about 5-6 months when it launched and never had an issue finding a match.

Nice rumble and snow day ranks. I finished the same as last season, every playlist GC except Dropshot (hit mid champ 3 during the season), 1s (hit low champ 2 at my peak), solo standard 3s (didn't play). Finished about 30 MMR points outside the top 100 in snowday, not sure I would have gotten it, but would have been in range if I got a lucky run.

Anyone play Destiny 2 on XB1? Purchased Shadowkeep and Forsaken over the weekend and am grinding up to the soft level cap. Would love a clan to join or people to do strikes/raids with

Somebody (not me) should really start a website of "games to play with your lover".

There's some obvious choices like Stardew Valley and Zelda, but a lot of nonobvious RPGs, MMOs, story games, and especially co-op Indy games.

AFAIK, there's no list, or clear explanation why your lover probably enjoys Don't Starve but probably hates Risk of Rain 2.

There's a very obvious explanation, at least when it comes to my SO and these specific examples: 2 stick controls. She plays some games, but anything with full 3d controls with 2 sticks she just can't/won't play.

Just look up couch co-op games. Some of my favorite that I played with my SO:

Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time
Overcooked
Ibb & Obb
LittleBigPlanet
Towerfall: Ascension
Bro Force
Cup Head

Diablo 3 is also a pretty decent co-op game.
