We use it.

For streaming, we used it for downton abbey.. That's about it.

We did a 1 month trial.

We're long time Netflix users, and the VOD offerings were not impressive to us, difficult to navigate, and difficult to not get kicked over to the "non-Prime" videos which incur additional charges, so, overall not enough reason to go Prime.

The book rental for Kindle wasn't that enticing.

Getting things in 2-3 business days was nice, but not nice enough.

That's how it was working until a lot of stuffs were added to the "add-on" program, so I still need to meet the $25 threshold.

Just got a prime membership. MissusSchoop has started ordering dog food from Amazon -- our golden retriever is on a specialty diet and the choices are the internet or the vet's office. 2-day shipping is nice when it's an item you're going to need relatively quickly.

Haven't looked into the kindle book lending or the streaming video yet.

Yesterday I saw that someone was suing Amazon for allegedly jacking up the price of prime-eligible items by the amount of shipping charges

Yup, I've gotten at least $99 of value from my Prime membership over the past year.

...except non-Prime members get the same prices.

That's really dumb.

For videos, it's mainly been stuff for the kids, not us. I think most of the shows we watch are on hulu.

i signed up for prime not too long ago. i like the fast, free shipping. i've borrowed one book so far. have streamed orig twilight zone eps when lying in bed at night. probably worth it to me.

it's kind of like having a delta skymiles card. capital one venture card points are more flexible than points on the skymines card, but the zone 1 boarding is worth the $95/yr fee. i don't travel enough to have privileges based on that.
