Well, I tried Amazon Prime's video library (79 pounds/year over here). Most of the shows are pretty old.

For that reason, greater caution is called for when dealing with a stupid person than with a malicious one".

I'm not sure how it works nor have I looked into it but one of my co-workers told me that Amazon matched a lower price on a TV he found at another vendor site FWIW.

I just noticed the "add-on" program a few days ago. Thought maybe it was just the products I was getting/seller combo. This will change my opinion of prime a lot if that is the case. Even with tax things will have to get considerably worse before I get off my butt and look for other similarly easy/quick options.

We use it for things where having it take 10 days to arrive would be very inconvenient, like particular food items for my son with food allergies that you can't find in grocery stores.

I don't buy anything from them where it is critical that I get the item in 2 days...so the free shipping when you spend $35 works for me

This could be one thing that would make me cancel. It hasn't been a problem for me yet (it seems to apply to voluminous items with low prices which probably cost them too much to ship for free, at least w/ 2 days). I continue to buy stuff < $25 with 2 day shipping included, but it's usually small stuff.

That's quite an exaggeration. Anything I've bought with free shipping has arrived in 5 business days.
