Did you order 8 memory sticks? Your mobo only has 4 slots.

Blah, should have followed my own advice. Took me like 3 months before all issues were resolved. Also I didn't get any rebates because our mailman is apparently passive aggressive?

Have fun! Are you sticking with the CPU heat sink thats included? You can buy a really cheap after market heat sink that makes a big difference, especially if you plan on overclocking ever.

Manipulating women...now THAT's hard. Probably because most woman have no clue what they like.

I only ordered 1 stick of 8 GB of RAM. Motherboard should be able to handle 4 of them if I wanted to I believe.

Bummer, I just got everything from Amazon and not worrying about mail in rebates. Maybe I spend an extra 40/50 bucks, but at least I know where everything is coming from.

Yes for now, my CPU is not unlocked for overclocking and I have no plans to overclock. For this reason I plan on using the factory CPU fan, although I did consider something else, but it would be more for aesthetics than performance.

I spent alot of time going back and forth on GPU, between AMD 480, NVIDIA 1060, and NVIDIA 1070. Eventually decided on 1060 was more than enough for my needs going into foreseeable future.

I thought about this too. But if you're not overclocking, the Intel one should be fine.

FWIW, this is what I'm using now (I don't overclock and probs never will). But this was from a couple years ago https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Vwd...h60cw9060007ww

Good plan. I'm still using the 970 and it's still does the job for me. Yours should last for a good amount of time.

spend a few bucks on a better CPU cooling solution even if there are no plans to overclock. the stock fan works fine, but it's loud. i got a Zalman fan, something like this one https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...82E16835118003
