It's kind of pointless though, since most people know you can download emulators and ROMs for free.
Define "most people." I'd say the general gaming population (ESPECIALLY nintendo's "kiddy" population) doesn't know, nor care to know about emulators.

Also - not everyone likes breaking the law - ESPECIALLY with how groups like RIAA and MPAA are getting lawsuit happy lately.

I think the price points i mentioned make sense and are more reasonable. You do realize anything nintendo makes from this is pure profit - so they won't care about quantity of downloads as much as they would straight profit(i.e. 500 DLs @ $5 vs. 2000 @ $1)

You also have to look at used game prices. Alot of N64 games go for $10-15 used. I doubt Nintendo would undercut those...

I agree with John on the costs it SHOULD be. Then again, Nintendo once expected people to pay $20 for a GameBoy advance cart of Ice Climbers.
"Two front slots for 512 MB flash memory, likely SD Card compatible"

that's what the article says
but it's also got
"Two USB 2.0 ports located on the rear of the system"
so external are possible.
basically, it's too early to compare all the features of the systems

You can buy some good PS2 games for $10, and all of the greatest hits are $20, so I just can't see Nintendo charging $10-$20 for a download of a game from several generations ago. I guess we'll see...

this is a good point. i guess i forgot to consider that these would he downloadable. NES, SNES, and N64 games are all cartridges, which means higher breakeven prices...prices for just data on the cart would be lower.

honestly - I think ALOT of games are going to be giveaways - unlockables through other games or pre-order bonuses.

I still don't trust Nintendo on the pricing end of things, but they've made some great moves with the DS, so I hope that carries over to the Revo. These games are ridiculously small from a memory standpoint, with NES games mostly running under one MB in emulation, SNES games usually about the size of an MP3, and I'm not sure about N64 games, but its not THAT bad. Nintendo's only fee comes in preparing the system and keeping bandwidth costs, and after that, its all profit. Even better if third parties enter the fray (and they should, even though most are releasing compilation DVDs now).

system - black
4 standard controllers
4 controller extensions
a 1019 memory card (so you can play sports seasons/franchise mode)
2 standard memory cards (whatever the initial release ones had for size)
and roughly 10-12 games, nothing that new
games include:
MVP baseball 2004
NHL Hitz 2002
Spiderman
Wave Race Blue Storm
Simpsons Road Rage
Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
Sonic Adventures 2 Battle (or something like that)
Metroid Prime
SSX Tricky
NFL Street
I'd be willing to consider offers via PM
edit - other games I missed:
Luigi's Mansion
Super Smash Brothers Melee

System works perfectly, but having the 360 now, I have no time for game cube. Would be a good pickup, relatively cheap for your kids if they don't have the system yet.

anyone...I'd probably settle for 100 bucks (plus shipping - your choice) for all this

That wouldn't add to WA's post count.

I swear, the best change that Tom could make to this place is to turn them off.
