Meh, I think the successor has to be Canadian. Or at fluently French. I LIVE for Alex's pronunciations.

Jeopardy! contestant testing coming up Jan. 28-30.

Did anyone mention how James implied he used Ken's books to prepare for Jeopardy!?

Know thy enemy?
i think he straight up stated that he'd read his books

Not sure if there's any noticeable difference - maybe Ken just prepared better because he realized he was resting on his laurels when Brad previously beat him? Anything? Just seems weird to me, and again this all comes from my own ignorance, not telling you that you're wrong, obv.

*Not sure what word I want here, but thinking of some of the questions that involve "solving" more than "remembering" - like the triple rhymes, or the before&during&after
No clue. It's just been fascinating to watch.

I will restate that this has been awesome. I think James as a disruptor pushed Ken to aggressive strategy that he is smart enough to cash in on (and it has shown). It's outside Ken's natural comfort level, but since he is so good it is a WAY +EV strategy to be super aggressive on the bets. I think that dynamic made Ken a force that Brad had no answer for.

these guys are good.

Yes and nice they had a Canada category tonight in Alex honour even though those questions were ridiculously easy.

I'm a bit surprised that none of them got Jeet Kune Do.

I was rooting for Ken all along but I didn't actually think he was going to beat James. that was a lot of fun to watch!

I agree. Going in, my only question was whether James could beat Brad. I thought that Brad’s superiority over Ken had been well established. It turns out that James certainly can beat Brad, but Ken rose to the occasion and beat both of them. Wow, what an experience to watch those three tackle such difficult questions!

There was another one that none of them got (which I knew) - now I’m forgetting what it was, anybody remember? Pretty surprised there were any that none of them got, they nailed so many ridiculously hard questions - and then a relatively easy one imo that nobody got.
