Yeah, it was pretty funny imo. The dynamic up there was clearly friendly among all three. Obviously if they weren't friendly, it would be much more rude to say such a thing.

Brad wouldn't have had that issue if he scored some points

No kidding, lighten up francis.

There is usually a fairly staid air on the show. Rarely do you see people really celebrating. But this was a hand picked special event pretty much meant to break all the rules. It had been building over the previous games and that comment was the best of all of them. I'm pretty sure James was nearly resigned at that point that he was not going to win. And it seemed more of his shots to that point had been toward Ken.

In an earlier show Alex asked Ken about his seeming let down in the second game the night before and Ken said that it was a little different because they had done 2 games for a match the same night.

But I thought that we had already determined that in regular play, they tape 5 shows per day, 3 days per week for so long and then take a break and come back and do that again. So I was a little confused by his answer. I wonder if since they knew they were going to be showing them back to back and therefore the contestants didn't have to change between games that they actually did play the games quicker and didn't give them as much time to rest between games?

I thought it was fine, but I also did think that Brad looked genuinely a little taken aback. Maybe he was playing it up.

Making fun of Brad's performance was out of line. He continues to hold his position as all-time top money-winner on any television game show. That speaks for itself. And he beat Ken numerous times in previous tournaments. James lacks certain social skills, obviously.

What? The fact that Brad is that good is only more reason to give him crap. Punching up is the rule, not punching down.

Brad's twitter response, after congratulating Ken on the win:

"Congrats to James as well. Have the New Orleans Saints been in touch about a job? Because with their tendency to talk a bunch of trash after losing in the playoffs, you'll fit right in."

they're big boys and it's all good-natured competitive trash talk and ribbing among men who became millionaires playing a no-contact game on tv.

james may be aspy and lacking in social skills, but i'm not holding this against him in the least
