Off topic. I once had someone on my staff write an APL program that showed ET landing a space ship.

Using APL can sometimes be even more inappropriate than using a spreadsheet.

I've used Excel to draw floor plans.

I've also used a spreadsheet to figure out where to go to dinner: Didn't know what we wanted, so we'd drive, and at each intersection use a function containing =RAND() to decide whether to go left/right/forward. Drive until a mutually acceptable restaurant is encountered.

I also might have once encountered a spreadsheet that randomly suggested certainly ideas for consenting adults needing inspiration.

Oh, I just remembered. I did a program once that used Rogerian questions to cheer myself up when I was down psychologically. I don't even remember what language I used.
