My latest favorite quotes, updated Feb 15, 2018. Hmmm. It's been quite a while.

Spoiler:
I should keep these four permanently.

...To create a 2 hour long meeting in which a low level user explains every cell to a room full of people.

Is there some reason MS hasn't deprecated merged cells in favor of center across? I would love for someone to explain a possible reason for merged cells to even exist.

I've hated it longer!!

Merged cells are for printouts. So it "looks good."

It is NOT for data that might need to be copied and paste-special-valuesed.

I do a lot of unmerging of headers of data from other people's sources, since I PSV their whole sheet to my identical work file.

Crazily enough, I see cells merged to one row!! 99% of the time it's cells merged to one column, but every so often....
