I haven't taken exams in a decade and a half. But I already had kids when I was going through exams. They're older now, but they're stuck in the house with me while I'm working from home. I feel bad that they have to stay quiet all day so they don't interrupt me. That would have been even harder for them when they were younger. My wife was great about letting me study wherever I needed to, to minimize distractions. Often, that was at the office (in an empty conference room.) So with the offices off limits, that would have been a big hindrance for me.

It's bad enough trying to juggle studying with work and a personal life. This pandemic throws even more stress into the mix.

A lot depends on who else is around and your general personality.

For me, I like to have a "different" environment to study than my usual work environment.

Now the I'm WFH for the most part, and strongly discouraged to study elsewhere, it's problematic, to say the least.

I did my best studying at a university library. It was good to be in an atmosphere where most people were studying and relatively quiet.
