Thumbs up Free very old yearbooks, college texts, TSA books, RSA, section periodicals

During deep dive housecleaning I discovered a cache of these old items and on the occasion of my departure from this once noble profession I am purging. Before tossing in the recycle bin I decided to give you a shot. Yes, I know that these are effectively worthless, but who knows if your article or your father's is in one of them or you have some fetish for collecting old Bob Myers articles or seek obscure droppings for a lawsuit or whatever. Maybe you have some affectation for the meeting record for Boca Raton 1988; I'm not judging. Look, I'm throwing them away. I would have incinerated them all decades ago but fate chose these few of them to do an Anne Frank and elude extermination - until I just uncovered them. So just a one in a million shot. Laugh, but I won't be shocked if there's one bite. Who knows - from time to time I long for odd little things that I tossed years and years ago.

I took pity on you and spared mentioning 20 year old GRASP flash cards, Actex, etc. that I also discovered.

Numerous miscellaneous The Actuary and Contingencies - many but not EVERY one from 2001 to 2017.
Maybe you like articles about pandemics.

Misc. section newsletters - Taxing Times, Financial Reporter; North Amer. Journals - many, not all, 2001 to 2017.

I am in Dallas. If you want any of this, PM me. You'll need to come and get it or send me shipping $ (up to perhaps $70 for the entire lot - there's over 50 pounds here). Or give the name of your Dallas friend who will take them.

Please tell your historically inclined friends who have simply too much time. Or anyone you think of. Who is the modern day E. J. Moorhead? If you know ANYONE IN DALLAS speak up, for the reaper glooms over these.

There. My first AO message in 10.1 years. Then back to the strike.

P.S. I have no control over the image resolution slaughter done by this forum. The image size limits are ridiculously low so my crisp images are rendered rather unreadable. Nice.

Marcie: funny on multiple levels!

My Walking Dead People Shredder home version has been booted up. Last call on everything but the yearbooks and the college texts which are spoken for. Surely someone in the great hard working, strong personal values state of Texas still cares about history and legend ... naaah, what am I saying - those guys have been replaced by the new breed with an "alternate value system." So last call for act-chew-ware-o-col.

FWIW, non-paper versions of some of the SOA publications are available here:

https://www.soa.org/BrowsePublicatio...blication.aspx

They have:

The Actuary - 1967-2011
The Actuary Magazine - 2009 - 2016 [I don't know why the name switch... and I guess the more recent ones you go to current page for The Actuary]
TSA: 1949-1995
RSA: 1975-2005
and all the section newsletters, dependent on when the sections had newsletters

Billingsley wrote a statistical inference text?

Gosh. I would hate to read that. His measure-theoretic probability book is bad enough.
