It was fun. Did not play as well as last time we played together, but still had fun and we had competitive matches all night.

Definitely improving, but a long way away from saying Iím good at this game. I need to work on my defense in the corners, Iím absolute trash there. Oh well, Iím having fun as long as I donít run into toxic assclowns in the chat.
I'm happy to play some games if you want to add me on steam or within Rocket League. I am online at nights, and not consistently, but anyway.

Transistor is free on the Epic store right now.

It's my wife's all-time-favorite game.

Huh. I wouldn't call either game a "deep narrative". Bastion was basically Link with a cool narrator and a couple beautiful scenes. The whole story is probably 2 paragraphs long.

Ditto for transistor. Beautiful voice + music + graphics + fun combat. You can glimpse a deeper narrative by reading weapon descriptions (weirdly) but it's very clearly an 'extra'.

What Super Giant is good at is finding a voice actors that are more compelling than Morgan Freeman and Sean Connery combined.

Ok, so my XBox, Steam, Nintendo, Twitter, etc are all "TheSidXXX" but apparently that is not allowed on PSN. Maybe the XXX part is considered porn?

Anyway, considering some other options, such as The_Sid_X-X-X, which apparently is allowed, but not sure I like it. Otherwise, I just won't change it, because the whole point was to match what I use on all other gaming platforms.

Played some PUBG over the weekend for first time in months (only a couple solo games). Somehow won with 5 kills in my 3rd game back and got 2nd with 0 kills in my 2nd game

Still trying to readjust to playing FPS was a bit weird. My positioning feels off and reading of situations also weren't great. I was okay shooting from distance, but my CQC was pretty bad in terms of managing recoil. After those initial games I was about to quit again because of audio issues with my headset where I couldn't get directional feedback. Turns out my playback device was set to the wrong variation of my headset for PUBG which I turned up after some googling. Now it is MUCH more enjoyable to play again. My eyes aren't used to the stress PUBG puts them through trying to pick out pixels moving and what not since coming from exclusively playing Rocket League for a while.

On Rocket League front, I've been trying to get near GC in Hoops, but man it is HARD. I've been stuck in high Champ 2 for a while now. Briefly hit Champ 3 before immediately losing it. Stuck around 1150-1180 MMR and GC is about 1260ish. Usually get about 7-11 points per win depending on your rating compared to the opponents. Not sure I'll be able to pull it off but it's definitely an interesting mode. My defense against really good players is a bit lacking and generating consistent offensive threats is also pretty difficult. Been playing a decent bit of ranked 1v1s lately too and have plummeted in rank from Champ 1 to high Diamond 2 right now I knew this would happen but I really needed to improve my kick offs so I've been trying a new technique that I've been very unreliable with so far from the center positions.

Now that I think about it, my Nintendo may be TheSidXX for the same reason -- Nintendo doesn't allow three consecutive x's.

Why three Xs anyway? Totally just nosy.

No particular reason. In high school my nickname was Sid, like Sid Vicious. But I decided I wasn't worthy of a one-name name like Madonna or Cher, so I needed a full name. So I made my first name "The" and my last name "XXX". Kind of like "My friends call me 'Sid' but you can call me by my full name, 'The Sid XXX'." Maybe it was subconsciously an algebra thing? Who knows!

This was <cough> a long time ago </cough>, and it's just stuck ever since. Like pre-internet long time ago. So when the internet came out, I just used that name on stuff.
