Anthem, Assassin's Creed (I think the French one, maybe Unity?), No Man's Sky, Watch Dogs, Fallout, Dead Island, Dragon Age, Grand Theft Auto Online, to name a few.

It's not like they're going to run out of games on release date. If they want money early, start a kickstarter or go fund me. Preorders have been bad for the industry.

The insurance equivalent of pre-ordering would be if a carrier asked you to pay premium three months before your effective date, and in return they would let you have access to the color version of their website. Then when your effective date finally came, the website was down for three days, your benefit amount was 25% lower than you were told, and an advertised rider wasn't available yet, but you'll be able to purchase it separately in 3-6 months.

Tell me more about this color version. Is it green? I love green.

They released screen shots with green AND blue, but the only people that were aloud to do hands on testing have been forbidden to give their opinions until the website is live.

Is the text in 3 point font? I love that size!

As evidence: Mass Effect: Andromeda.

I would agree with that. CDPR has done some pretty good work. And for real - the amount of free stuff released for Witcher 3 was pretty impressive... even if they never did fix the glitchy chest for the Wolf Gear.

Hmm. Some of those I'm not familiar with... but I was pretty pleased with DA: Inquisition. I was also pretty happy with Fallout 76 - but that's in part because I'm a solo player that really doesn't like MMOs, and Fallout 76 accommodated my preferred play-style a LOT better than most others have done.

I'd take out Dragon Age and Fallout... But I'd add Mass Effect Andromeda and Elder Scrolls Online. YMMV

Lol... we referred to that as "sub-actuarial font". "Actuarial font" was 6pt.

Experience so far with Bloodborne:
  1. Started out as waste of flesh, spent the first hour or so slappers only getting repeatedly killed by that first wolf.
  2. Restarted assuming the lack of weapons was because I chose waste of flesh.
  3. Found out I accidentally walked right by the messengers that give you starting weapons on my first attempt
  4. Played for a little bit, getting frustrated as hell by dying repeatedly for what felt like stupid reasons. Another hour later still hadn't moved past the first lamppost.
  5. Considered returning game.
  6. Realized I couldn't return the game because it was a digital download.
  7. Calmed my ass down and tried again.
  8. Accidentally did a parry-riposte with the gun. MIND BLOWN.
  9. Restarted again as waste of flesh so I could switch to the cleaver and blunderbuss instead of axe and pistol.
  10. Killed Cleric Beast on first try.
  11. Died about 10 times on Father Gascoigne. Seriously **** this guy.
  12. Died 3 times against the Blood Starved Beast. Damn poison.
  13. Died once against Vicar Amelia.
  14. omg I love this game.

My wife gave me a night to myself for father's day.

Drank a bunch of screwdrivers and played Overcooked 2 with my brother 500 miles away.

You rush around trying to complete simple meals as fast as possible. To be efficient you need to always be working on multiple parts of multiple dishes, balancing short and long-term goals, and not effing up.

It's a classic couch co-op. Which is to say, at one point I was laughing so hard there were tears in my eyes.

The only downside I'd say is that it requires such intense concentration that you can't really relax and chat about life. Unlike, for example, PUBG.
