Really good from a TV ratings perspective. Though the Yankees are New York's #1 team, many New Yorkers hop on the Mets bandwagon when they do well.

I think I'd rather face the Mets in the NLCS.

I'd rather go with the Dodgers.

Probable starters (Game)

Mets: Syndergaard (1), Harvey(2), deGrom(3), Matz(4), Syndergaard(5)
Dodgers: Anderson(1), Kershaw(2), Greinke(3), Wood(4), Anderson/Kershaw(5)

I think we have a much better chance of taking games 1 and 4 with the Dodgers. Game 2 will be close either way (facing up against Lester). Game 3 looks bad for us either way.

Bosio said on the radio that Lester probably starts G1. Wouldn't hurt to give Arrieta an extra day. I also wouldnt be shocked if they avoid replace Hammel with Haren.

But the Cubs are better against guys that throw a lot of fastballs. Young arms are more likely to rely on their heat than a junk pitch.

What about games 6 and 7? It's a best of 7, not 5.

Also, this year:

Cubs vs Mets
7-0 with wins against deGrom, Syndergaard, Torres, Niese, Niese, Torres, deGrom

Cubs vs Dodgers
3-4 with wins against starters Wood, Kershaw, Greinke, and losses against starters Latos, Frias, Kershaw, and Bolsinger

Ignore the Mets Pitchers. The Cubs won their games before Cespedes and Conforto came and without Wright and D'Arnaud in the lineup. It was probably the worst hitting team in baseball at the time.
