Was a little disappointed that they seemed to finish playing at the level they were at the first half of the season (hats off to the Dodgers for their part in making them look that way). But glad they turned things around in the second half of the season and made it the NLCS.

Seemed to me Cubs pitchers late this year liked to dance around/just outside the strike zone a lot more than in past years, giving up a lot of walks that came back to hurt them. Quintana's first runs in each of his games against LA were scored by batters that walked, I think. The relievers were even worse about it. It's like giving up a walk doesn't bother them as much as a hit. I know there's a fine line between hitting corners and grooving pitches, but not all of them are strike zone surgeons (but seem to think they are). And getting behind in counts really hurts you, too, even if you don't walk the guy. Make the hitters beat you, imo.

Thanks for another good season, Cubs!

Huge sign in getting Darvish. Now we just need to keep him healthy.

Darvish, Lester, Quintana, Hendricks, Chatwood

Next up would include: Tseng, Montgomery, Smyly, Butler, Zastryzny

Back on top! (for now)

Still got a few slumping bats that will hopefully wake up.

How bad will it be finding parking for part 2 of a double header at Wrigley? Do the cars from part 1 clear out enough to find spots?

It will likely be pretty bad. Be prepared to pay for parking or to walk a ways, or park at another stop on the red line and train it.

So...5 straight games scoring exactly 1 run via solo HR. This has to be scripted.
