Default Global Microinsurer seeks NYC Actuaries

MicroUnite Global, a start-up microinsurer, is seeking experienced insurance actuaries in the NYC/Northern NJ area to work on a team developing microinsurance products and financial modeling projections.

You do not need prior experience working with microinsurance.

This is a lucrative opportunity for ambitious actuaries with an entrepreneurial spirit to use your experience to make history and develop innovative products for the very poor in developing countries.

We are looking for actuaries that have experience in the following areas:

~Property and Casualty: Personal and Commerical Lines will be considered
~Healthcare programs
~Life
~Agricultural/Farming coverages
~Entrepreneurial
~Experience developing projections for business models.

MicroUnite Global is a US based company developing divisions outside the US. Currently we are working on developing products for clients in the Philippines with our joint venture partner, a leading microinsurer in the Philippines.

I think the question is whether NJ/NYC people will be interested in it.

Most of us in the NYC metro area aren't interested in leaving where we are.

in a related story, most people not currently in NYC/NJ won't be interested in leaving where they are to go there.

i guess I was asking if being remote from NYC was possible.
