Default 2014 Summer Health Interns - Milliman Denver

Looking for an Actuarial Internship?

Check out the Denver Health Practice of Milliman!

Milliman is the country’s most prestigious actuarial consulting firm and has offices worldwide. Milliman is divided into four main practice areas – Health, Employee Benefits, Casualty, and Life. All of our practices are owned by the local Principals who manage them. You can find more about Milliman at www.Milliman.com.

The Denver Health Practice of Milliman is a growing practice with a wide variety of areas of business, which means that we always have new and interesting work and challenges. Our work lately has included healthcare reform, with a focus both on current required changes and on pricing and strategy for entry to the exchanges. We also have ongoing work in the analysis of the financial risks and projections associated with healthcare and healthcare management for a number of clients.

We offer competitive pay and everyone in the practice is heavily involved as we stake out new areas of business. We work hard, are always challenging ourselves to go beyond the usual, and have a lot of fun! If this sounds like your kind of place, we want to hear from you!

We are currently recruiting to fill full time internship positions for the Summer, 2014. The successful candidate will possess excellent computer, technical, communication, interpersonal skills, and be self-motivated and driven to achieve. Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to learn is a must. Candidates must not be graduating before December, 2014. To apply, please forward your cover letter, resume and current actuarial exam status to: janice.packettevans@milliman.com

We look forward to hearing from you!

I'm also happy to answer any questions (note that I suck at private messages, but will see them eventually).

Not an intern candidate but I'm curious: Does the Denver health practice mostly work with health plans, government agencies, or with employer groups?

Do you provide lodging, or some recommendations, to those out-of-state?

We can provide recommendations for lodging, including advice from past interns who have gone through the same (general) situation.

We don't provide lodging - our philosophy is to be competitive with the salary, and that the intern is able to make their own choices.
