Default Will ASM 15th Edition for MLC cover the Fall 2018 LTAM syllabus?

Currently, I have ASM 15th edition for MLC in addition to the Dickson textbook sitting in my bookshelf and I'm hoping not to spend a lot more on study material. I'm preparing to take Exam C in Feburary, and although there is a sitting for MLC in April, it seems like way too little time to prepare for the exam after taking C. Yeah, I know it's too late to obtain ASA before July 2018.

My question is: Will ASM cover (most of) the Fall 2018 Long Term Actuarial Mathematics Exam syllabus?

Thanks!

The syllabus is here:
https://www.soa.org/Files/Edu/2018/2...am-syllabi.pdf

It apprears the new LTAM exam is removing some material from MLC to the modules, moving some Exam C material to LTAM (KM/NA estimators and their variances), and adding some new stuff to LTAM. I'm using the 15th edition to study for MLC and my 1st and last attempt will be on April 2018. I know the author provided a small supplement for AIC for exam C, but I don't know if he would do the same for LTAM. Since I already passed C and still have the manual, re-learning KM/NA material would be easy. I'd just need the new stuff, so hopefully he can do it.

In regards to your situation, I would definitely just focus C. It's still a big exam and it's not easy either. I highly recommend doing the SOA 307, the 5 TIA practice exams, and ADAPT until you can do Level 6 exams. Mahler and ASM exams are very difficult so I'd do them only if I have extra time. Good luck!

It seems that you are very sure that you have to take PA to attain ASA lol
