Default Can i apply?

I have a low gpa in UG(Engineering) and was wondering if it would reduce my chances of getting an admit into ISU's MS Act.Sci program?

How low? If it's below around 3.0 it will definitely make things more difficult for you.

Depending on your grade distribution it's hard to tell how that translates to the US scale. But if we assume about a 2.5-2.7, that will exclude you from a good-sized proportion of companies.

You should try to develop one or more of the following by the time you are ready to start looking for jobs:
  • Better grades
  • One or more internships
  • Multiple exams passed
  • Impeccable resume and outstanding interview skills

Thank you Southerngeek.I have no idea about the coversion.i saw somewhere that the gpa conversion varies from univ to univ.My immediate problem is getting an admit into a good univ.Almost all univs expect a cgpa of atleast 2.75( most expect 3) to accept students into their MS program.Do i need to sort this out first before applying?
