So, in the P&C/General super-section (which seems to be the best way to get buy-in,) can we finally put Health in that group?

Also, I wonder what the meeting structure would look like. It would be neat to see 3,500 - 4,000 at an annual meeting.

Health and P&C should probably be together somehow. The incidence of incidents (as opposed to exactly one incident of death) makes for similar maths, I think.

Speaking from a place of only slightly less ignorance, given how little is known....

As an FSA I think this would have moderate to zero impact on me. So I have less reason to vote no.

As a health actuary I think I might be able to benefit from professional education opportunities that are more aligned with the nature of the risks I deal with. This might be naive. But in any event, it gives me more reason to vote yes.

Without details, I don't see much else to sway my vote.

ACASs should be able to vote on this.

Having had some experience with both organizations, the CAS seems better run and more dependent on volunteers than bureaucrats. Dues are cheaper for the CAS and it's a fraction of the size. I understand the external factors but I really don't want the SOA overlords.
