Someone said in another thread that they used ASM for the bulk of their learning, and then when they needed it, used the text for clarifications. I would think that this is the method to use when time is an issue.

Ya'll have to realize you're trying to convince the guy who celebrated being done with MLC by reading the first chapter of the MFE text...

Today I got an unexpected study day as all the work dried up. Knocked out Chapter 10 of Derivative Markets. I'll try to knock out Chapter 11 over the weekend.

I'll probably have to make a change in my plans at some point, but I haven't reached that point quite yet. Finishing Derivative Markets by the middle of January still looks doable. The sooner I finish, the better.

If I reach my goal, finishing ASM and SOA should not be a problem. That will probably give me a good chance of passing. Anything more is purely a bonus.

P.S. The problems in Derivative Markets are quite different from what you would face on an exam - but I find that working on a variety of problems actually helps me when it comes to getting through exam problems. Let's see if this works.

DanielSong,

Are the answers to the DM problems available? How do you check you work? Please let me know.

There is a solution guide that provides answers to even-numbered problems, and a fair number of problems come with the answers already provided.

I actually don't have the solution guide, so I just do my best and cross my fingers.

anyone here doubling this exam up with MLC? I'd like to know what kind of study schedule people will be using if that's the case!

I have a hard enough time with one exam. I can't imagine trying to go for two.

Have people done this while working and passed both??
