I really like your strategy. As my last post suggested, I always got really off track with the harder chapters so giving yourself a buffer to spend a day or two banging your head against a wall is a great strategy.

I finally got my manual. Perfect timing with the break though. Not so much perfect timing since Bedlam is in a few days. Go Pokes!

What's everyone's Thanksgiving study schedule look like?

I'm hoping to pound through chapters 4-6 this weekend.

My plan is to work on more chapter 12 (insurance payable at the end of the year of death) problems. It's another one of the hard/long lessons. Then I want to complete chapter 13 on Saturday.

Insurance payable at the end of the year of death is the basis for a lot of exam problems.

I appreciate the tip. Lesson 12 alone has 42 problems, plus, from the sound of it, future lessons do make use of the benefits payable at the end of the year assumption (e.g., "fully discrete insurance"). Lesson 12 wasn't so bad once I got used to always discounting at discrete time intervals. Today, I will tackle lesson 13 (insurance: probabilities and percentiles). There aren't many actual past exam questions for this lesson, but maybe it's essential as a building block for upcoming material.

Some people have said that those Lessons on percentiles should be grouped up into one side-section. I don't think it's essential to future non-percentile lessons, but I'm not sure.

I could see you getting 1 or 2 percentile questions on the exam, so definitely learn them. Good luck in your studies, this was a pretty interesting exam.

There doesn't appear to be an errata file on the website for the 6th edition, though.
Check these links for 6th edition errata:
Page: http://www.aceyourexams.net/errata/ErrataMLC-6p.pdf
Date: http://www.aceyourexams.net/errata/ErrataMLC-6d.pdf

The idea is to change the number preceding the p or d, but i think only till 5th edition. However its not updated for quite some time. A friend of mine uses a later edition, perhaps the page and question numbers may be different but if recognize the error, then it can be used.
