Post Evolent Health seeks Analyst/Sr. Analyst, Actuarial Services (Medicaid)

The Evolent Health Actuarial Medicaid Team is looking for both an Analyst and Sr. Analyst, Actuarial Services in either our Arlington, VA Headquarters or Chicago, IL offices.

As a member of the Medicaid Team, you will inform decision making across the company and for our clients, by conducting analyses and developing actionable insights. The Analyst & Sr. Analyst will have the opportunity to shape team culture and operating norms as a result of the fast-paced nature of a new, high-growth organization.

•Perform data analyses and financial projections that impact foundational pricing and risk assumptions
•Perform financial analyses to improve the competitiveness of our health plans and support reserve development
•Develop actuarial models for use across multiple teams and projects
•Streamline processes to improve efficiency of key deliverables
•Collaborate with many areas of Evolent Health (Clinical, Clinical Informatics, Finance) and with market teams (Operations, Provider Engagement)
•Communicate actuarial concepts and concerns to Evolent’s internal and external partners
•Conduct ad hoc analyses to support data-driven insights to answer specific business questions that arise from company leadership and client physicians
•Play a key role in Evolent’s partnerships with providers to change the way healthcare is delivered

The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

•Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics or related degree.
•Strong technical skills required in Microsoft office
•Works hard, takes initiative, operates in ambiguity, and manages competing deadlines
•Desires to work in a fast-paced high-growth organization
•Works collaboratively and pitches in for the greater good of the team
•Is detail-oriented and owns his/her results

Analyst Level Candidate- In additon to the requirements above, must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of two actuarial exams along with at least 1 year of internship or full time work experience in the actuarial field.
Sr. Analyst Level Candidate- In additon to the requirements above, must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of three actuarial exams along with at least 2-3 years full time work experience in the actuarial field.

Finishing Touches (Preferred):
•Pricing and financial forecasting experience
•Familiarity or experience with medical/pharmacy claims
•Has the ability to write SQL (and/or SAS) code
