Default What study materials did you find was most helpful in studying for MAS I?

I've always used CA, but I feel as if their efforts are more concentrated towards the SOA route. People have told me Mahler for MAS I was very helpful as well. Anyone here who has passed MAS I have any reccomendations for me?

Probably nobody, since its current form was only first offered 48 hours ago.

Moved to Exam S forum.

Agree that the renaming--and possibly restructuring--needs to take place.

I've visited with Tom and another moderator about what that should look like. I think Tom decided to wait until all the changes with CAS and SOA Exams became effective so as to do one big change instead of piecemeal changes.

I'll send an email to Tom to see about timing of these changes.

Mahler really hammered home the GLM and Time Series stuff for me. TIA was useful for Stochastic Processes and Stats, as well as their practice exams. In a perfect world I would recommend both, but if you have to pick one, I would use Mahler and perhaps supplement with CA exams.
