Tangent: I got a PS2 on day two because my brother worked at Target at the time (I think in the electronics department). At the end of the first day, they realized they accidentally had three more that they didn't see in the back. So they just went on sale the following day, like normally... and of course, he clued us in that this was going to happen. (They couldn't "save" it for themselves, as it would be unfair) My mom walked in and bought it as soon as they opened

Consoles I've gotten at launch:

SNES
N64
Gamecube
Wii

I guess I broke that streak with Wii U

I tried to get a Wii.. was all prepared to camp out and they told us a little while later that there are only 7 or so, and I was like 15-20 in line. This was a month or longer after launch, I think... actually Day 1 seemed easier because of the hoarding/pawning later on.

No consoles on day 1. I only have a PS2 & Wii that were bought in the first year or so. Been a PC gamer before then, and too young to buy before that. My dad bought a Sega CD pretty early on, though. (lol?)

I got my 360 I think in March after launch. Was still really hard to get it. When I drove back from school for spring break I stopped by all the small town Walmarts/Best Buys/whatever to see if they had one.

Found one in a Best Buy...last one they had. Also had to buy the collectors edition of Perfect Dark Zero since it was the only one of those they had.

Oh yeah - I've gotten Dreamcast and PS Vita at launch. Forgot about those - and those were the two system I bought on DAY ONE. When I say "at launch," I mean within a month of the launch, and not some 6-month "launch window" these companies like to talk about.

You bought 3DS day one? Sucker

I bought the 3DS a week before the price drop; so that I was able to call myself an Ambassador (and get a ton of free games) AND take advantage of the price cut (Target cut the price a week before the official price drop was to take place).

Oh, then I've gotten just about every system at launch, including Saturn.

FFXV gameplay looks pretty cool. http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/e3-2...thi/2300-7573/

Curious how much of this sticks in the game. Especially the scene where they take that giant Titan-statue-like monster (I forget their name in FF), stab his hand, take his own sword and kill him. If you can do shit like that in the game - that's bad ass!
