:P SO has played a decent amount of endless space, but I have had great difficulty getting into another 4x, so much Wasteland 2 and Dragon Age Inquisition to play.

Thinks back fondly to MOO2 days (Civ 1 for that matter--remember the camels!).

I feel your pain; I've finished DA:I (not going to get the expansion), and have put off AC:U (still in Seq 10) while replaying GalCiv 2 campaign (finished first two, in Twilight of Arnor now) and Endless Space replays beckon.

As an aside, SoTS really killed itself. Version 1 (including band of blood and a muder of crows) was great. SoTS II is unplayable--period. I don't know what happened, it seems similar, but I just can't stomach more than 15 minutes of SoTS II and I happily whiled away much time in SoTS I.

Don't know where you all get your games, but Best Buy's gamers club is now $30/2 years. You get 20% off new titles and 10% of used. If you buy 3 new games in that 2 years, it's a win.

~3 more hours in Bloodborne. I'm progressing in the game more easily now. I think I was taking the wrong (harder) path through the level. Found the first boss, which unlocked the ability to level up and repair/upgrade weapons. You don't have to kill the boss, just trigger it once, which gives you 1 "insight". You also get 3 insight for killing a boss, 1 for being summoned and helping to kill a boss, etc. Not sure exactly what else it's used for. Possibly to summon others you use it? Sounds like you can trade for weapons/items later on.

Killed the first two bosses. The game is easier now that I raised my damage a bunch. I'm getting a lot better at parrying via the off-hand gun, and the window is somewhat lenient compares to Souls games, especially for bigger, slower monsters. If you do it right, you walk up to them for a one-hit kill (or close to it) afterwards.

While you do need to do a good amount of dodging for bosses, for the first two I found that you can do reasonably well mashing away at them for a little bit. While you're getting hit, you also regain health by attacking. So, just avoid too many hits in a row and keep on the aggression seems to be the way to go.

Enjoying it a lot now!
