Default Official Video Game Thread

Not sure if it's out there or not yet, but is there a thread that's comparing the features of these yet?
I saw something the other day comparing them, but most of the information is listed as TBA for Revolution and some of the PS3 information is listed as TBA as well.

Post information/specs here if you can find them. A release date of PS3 hasn't been finalized, but I keep hearing the spring date of 2006 is never going to happen and it looks more like September at the earliest. Anything concrete on this?

Thanks.

This is the only thing I came across so far in my limited search...and I'm not sure when it was last updated.

A Sony exec stated recently that the PS3 is still on schedule for Spring. Price is supposed to be $300-$400. I'm sure if you search Gamespot or IGN, you can find a comparison.

good to know about the timing. people in line this weekend told me it wasn't...they were all game informer readers and such, so I figured there might have been an article or something.

There was also something in some magazone the guy behind me had that piggy backed to the 360 and added a lot of features (i.e. multiple video outs, a text display line, etc...) . It was a MS backed product and was a suggested price of $99, but it didn't even have a name for it yet.

That's actually a pretty good comparison. I'll attach an html file for you. Let me know if it works.

It worked, thanks. I'm gonna read it now, but the link and html file are there for others now.
So the thread has served it's purpose now, unless release dates change or other information becomes available.

The 360 has three 3.2 gig PowerPC chips. PS3 has Cell, nobody knows how powerful its supposed to be, but Sony is hyping it like crazy. Revo has "Hollywood", graphics are supposedly a step above normal XBox. It's rumored to cost $150, and that would be sick.

The PS3 release date largely hinges on how successful the 360 is. That's mainly the reason they've held back; the 360's launch has not been mistake free, and Sony would like to avoid any problems if possible, but if the 360 keeps its momentum, Sony will push PS3 out quickly. Expect the PS3 graphics to be better, but the difference won't be as pronounced as the XBox-PS2 comparisons. Oh, and the controller is ugly.

which controller? the PS3? the 360?

I think the 360 wireless controller is sweet. Very comfortable.
It's the first wireless controller I have, so it was a bit odd to not have a wire (once the charge and play system was done charging the battery - this was a separate accessory I bought).
