Agreed, Polly. Reminds me of when I went to TESB (or was it ROTJ? I'm not a big SW fan, and it's been a while), and the guy on the way out of the theater is yelling at everybody "Luke's father is Darth Vaderrrrrr!!!!!!!!"

TESB (though I refused to believe it until ROTJ). And the guy shouting outside the theater was a jerk--believe me, nothing I said about our least favorite Gungan gave away anything of any importance. You'll see what I mean.

And just in case I'm wrong . . . what Snape said

I LOVED SW:AOTC!! Wow.... my dh and I spent about 2 hours after it discussing what must be in SW III to connect the two episodes and how we can't wait the 3 years until it is released. The movie was very good. (I liked Spiderman too.)

I don't see the point about it being "slow" at first... and the acting and editing style is 100% star wars style - including the campy lines and everything. (I could have done without the gooey love scenes...hate them in anything. But I suppose Luke and Leia must come from somewhere...)

I'm going to see it again in a day or two.

Can you believe I've never seen one Star Wars movie. Just thought I'd share that with you all.

Great movie. And I don't know what people are talking about with the first hour and a half. It can't be pure action the whole movie, but I thought there was plenty throughout. I won't say anything else here since it would be tough without spoilers.

I have to say, I call them like I see them. I thought that fight scene with Yoda slapping around Dooku and talking some trash to him while he did it, was the best scene in any Star Wars movie to date!

There can be no doubt - Yoda is the man!!!!!

The Darth Maul fight scene was better. Unfortunately is was broken up by the annoying youg Annakin ("I wonder what this button does"). Yoda's fight scene seemed more like Miss Piggy's karate scene in one of the muppet movies. (Stole that from a movie review but it articulates well what I was thinking and couldn't put into words).

The Yoda fight scene blows. IMO, it would have been the first thing to hit the cutting room floor. The use of the force part - fine. Going for the lightsabers and turning into super-yoda - dumb.
