20/30 on LC according to PAK so I feel pretty safe on that one, but not 100%. A few calculation errors on ST lead me to a 25 so I'll probably be taking it again. Unfortunate because I felt much more confident with ST than LC. I'll probably wait until results come back before restarting ST just in case the LC pass mark is super high and I fail.

Plan to use TIA then Adapt. I'm not a fan of using manual at all, but TIA + Adapt combo always cost like a million dollars.

Although I haven't taken C/4 exam, I am comfortable with all of the materials, so it should allow me to have a good start on ST immediately.

From CAS syllabus on ST, the materials shouldn't change for the Fall 2015 sitting (it's the same for both Fall and Spring 2015).

Passed LC last week (according to PAK) so going to sit for ST in October with the hopes of not having to take S. I took C/4 last October and heard that there's a lot of overlap between that and ST, does anyone have an idea on roughly how much overlap there really is?

I'd say 25% overlap but there are a lot of concepts that don't directly overlap but are similar to exam 4 and should come more easily to someone who has passed 4 compared with someone who hasn't passed it.

That's awesome! I missed one and omitted one so I'm hoping to knock ST out in October as well! But first, MFE in July!

I passed 4 last June and ST last October. I felt like it was 80% overlap conceptually, to be honest, but that could just be how I felt about the material and not exactly how it is. I used the ASM manual for both, and it seemed ST was mostly the easiest special case of what you learn in exam 4. For example, the conjugate pair material.

I breezed through the ST manual in about 3-4 weeks of light studying and had a few days to do a couple practice exams. I really didn't need to do many end of chapter problems as I went through the material. I would have liked to have more time at the end, but it didn't work out that way.
