Alright, these people have had their fun with all their non-serious posts. Time for some real talk.

You're never going to get any bites without a profile picture, plain and simple. People want to know what they have to work with when the intention is solely physical. And despite the risk that comes with posting a pic on a hook up site, I've found that it's really not that big of a deal. You're most likely not going to run into anyone that knows you, and even if you do, they are there for the same thing and probably don't have reason to out you. That's still not enough comfort for some, which is understandable, but it's definitely something people generally make out to be a bigger deal than it is.

As far as "extra-marital fun" goes, I'm gonna be a fatherly curmudgeon for a bit. Extra-marital fun is great when it's consensual, honest, open, and everyone you are currently in a relationship with is enthusiastically on board. It is not fun to ruin relationships and deal with all the drama and fall out and paperwork that follows. If you're having significant enough problems in your marriage that you feel the urge to cheat, you need to work through your marital problems and either end it or fix it. If you're in a good marriage and are just aching for extra-marital fun, have that conversation with your spouse and figure out where to go from there. If you are in a good marriage and your spouse is on board, then more power to ya. Okay, I'll step off the soap box now.

Assuming that you are practicing some form of ethical non-monogamy and everyone is consenting and on board, Tinder is going to be a total crap shoot, and it's particularly difficult when you are married and male. The paid options like Ashley Madison or Adult Friend Finder are going to do a much better job of protecting your privacy (simply because pay wall) and the members are generally much more serious about hooking up and not wasting your time. (Although, putting on my fatherly curmudgeon hat again for a second, AM is primarily a cheating site and there is a lot of toxic behavior associated with it. In that same way I highly encourage you not to cheat, I highly encourage you not to facilitate anyone else's cheating.) There is also FetLife if you are looking for a particular fetish/kink, or you're interested in the BDSM scene.

Other than that, get tested often, know the status of your partner before engaging in fun, and use condoms. Safe sex, free of guilt and regret, leads to better sex. Cheers.

Didn't they find out something like 95% of real Ashley Madison users were men?

I got a few matches. Probably just some "auto-swipes," but I did chat for more than a few sentences with one woman.

Another seemed like she wanted to maybe hookup (Asked how I was doin', I said just chillin' and she said "oooh, what can I do to help "). I told her I was 45 miles away, "but maybe some time soon "

I had like 5 active matches. The two above, and 3 others where mine were the only comments. And they were: "Hi, there! What's up?"

My profile pic was just a printed piece of paper saying I was married, I live near XYZ town and work near UVW town, and I was looking for some morning or lunchtime fun.

That's it.

Never once did I use any inappropriate language or anything like that.

yet, when I tried to log into the app, it said my account was banned.

WTF?

Your wife saw it and reported it to the moderators.

Or your wife is already a moderator and just went straight for the jugular.

Probably for not having a real profile picture. And for outwardly suggesting cheating on the app. Is your life so empty this is what you've become?
