I got a 6! I was sure I failed initially, so after finding out I passed, not surprised to see a 6 on my transcript.

This was the information I always scoured these threads for: I got 16/20 for MC, answered the first 3 WA questions completely, answered a little less than half of 4 & 5 and scribbled some nonsense down for 6. I essentially left 16 points blank. I self-graded between a 56 and 62...but who knows if that means anything.

I only ended up studying for this sitting (I failed in the Spring with a 5) for 5 weeks because I foolishly got caught up with the IA. I wouldn't recommend that. If I could do it over, I'd spend waaaaay more time practicing WA and I would he make sure that I wrote down a lot more on the exam.

Glad to be DONE!

Same here (attended April 2016 APC)! If you don't usually delete emails you can search for an email confirmation from the SOA from the 3-4 weeks after your APC - mine was dated early May after I had submitted the application online.

How are people so certain of mc amount?

I scored an 8!
This wasn't my first try but it feels good to finally have blown this attempt up. The weird thing was that I was on the fence when I left the test room, thought it was going to be 5 or 6.

I think my strategy was what helped me so much. On my prior tries, I would complete the MC first and then always struggled to finish WA. After seeing others people's success from prior sittings on this forum I deduced that the most important key to success on this test is JUST MAKE SURE YOU WRITE SOMETHING DOWN for the WA, even when you're unsure of the true answer. Give some hints of what you do know. So I did the WA first, at least those I was able to. Then went on to the MC, and back to finish off the WA that gave me trouble.

I remember for the covariance WA problem, I had a few sentences written in place of any math for a part of it. There must have been some credit given there to propel me to an 8. Especially since my MC weren't exactly perfect, based on the PAK. What had me feeling the most confident at the finish was that I did have some sort of answer for each piece of the WA, nothing left blank. So always give some kind of answer. For my study materials I used the SOA problems, the ASM manual, and a 7-day ADAPT subscription(mainly for the sample WA they provide).

I got a 7!

I was convinced I failed on exam day because I only fully answered 2 WA and probably got 16-18 MC correct.

I suspect the pass mark was lower on this sitting than others.

I passed with a score of 7. Somewhat surprised I didn't receive a 6; I guess a strong outing on the MC (19/20) and providing a lot of information on the WAs (even if I couldn't solve directly) paid off!
