If he’s signing a long term deal this offseason, he especially shouldn’t rush back.

Is he eligible to be extended this offseason?
I remember that there is some restriction as to when drafted players can sign extensions.

Yea. Either after the regular season or after the playoffs - not sure. Seems early because he was on the bench his first year

He just signed a huge contract, on "Ballers."

He is in his third year, correct?

Fifth year option gets exercised this offseason and then they start renegotiating the fifth year into an extension next training camp?

They seems to be the pattern

I don't know what the latest point in the season is for two winless teams to play each other, but there's lots of reasons to think Cincinnati and Miami will both be 0-14 when they face off on December 22.

Can we agree that the rule (interpreted correct by the refs, no complaints) where a fumble through the end zone (by Carr today) gives the ball to the other team (Pack), makes no sense? Like, you're a yard from a TD, and a fumble gives the ball to the other team even when they didn't actually recover it?

Or, if people think this rule makes sense, maybe explain to me why?

Trubisky shouldn't take another snap in the NFL. Time to call Kaep.

I agree, Farmboy.

As a Packer Backer, I was glad they benefited, but I've always thought that rule was nonsensical.

The weird thing is that when a team fumbles the ball out of bounds that they DO NOT lose possession.

Honestly, what other sport do you maintain possession of the ball when you lose control of the ball out of bounds?
