Not saying it's impossible for a millennial to have a 12 month income or whatever emergency fund, but given millennials are just starting out, unlikely.

In other words, it's not "I can't stomach a 30% drop because I'm a millennial and I saw the GR and waaaaahhh!" but "I can't stomach a 30% drop because I still rely on my entire savings as an emergency fund and require liquidity in my entire savings (non 401k etc)."
Yep. I'm 31 and only just now debt free and saving my emergency fund. I could have handled my loans more effectively in college but I had to learn the hard way how long it takes to pay debt.
Who is the author actuaries hate and why do they hate him so much?
