The Retirement Service Centers (RSC) are specialty centers of expertise that allow us to efficiently provide our clients with detailed financial calculations and analysis such as retirement valuation work, data and benefit calculations and other regulatory and tax compliance related services.

The Retirement Valuation Specialist will provide day-to-day direction and guidance of junior staff and oversee valuation design and analyses, resource materials production, and the maintenance of databases. Performs complicated analysis for project team. To fulfill this role, the specialist will:

- Review and provide initial approval of valuation and data work performed by junior staff
- Resolve data or plan questions related to valuations and benefit calculations.
- Reconcile data from previous valuations and prepare summaries of data, benefit plan documents and experience data.
- Interpret, determine and implement client-specific project modifications necessary to ensure compliance.
- Determine assumptions for advanced benefit analyses.
- Perform complicated analysis of retirement valuation work, data and benefit calculations.
- May direct the work of employees in a team and/or coach/mentor others.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in business, mathematics, actuarial science, statistics or a related field
- 3-5 years relevant work experience
- Ability to interpret plan documents, provisions, and administrative practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and guide junior staff
- Ability to work in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
