Been down this rabbit hole before, but getting sucked in again! It's one thing to build a machine from scratch, or to mod that same machine over time. But still a vanilla, single boot gaming beast.

Dual boot and all that is something I want to learn more about, but have never done.

Dual boot is so 2012. If you want to run another OS, install it in a virtual machine.

Actually interested in dual boot (or virtual if it would work for what I need), Mac and Windows. We are not a Mac family, but my son has taken some classes on making apps. Last we checked, which has been a while, you actually need a Mac, or at least a computer running Mac OS to finalize the app build. You can build and do 99% of everything without a Mac, but the last step requires it.

But, as I said, it's been a while, so this may be out of date.

MacOS can be installed in a virtual machine with VMWare or VirtualBox. There are several web pages and Youtube videos describing how to do it.

I've been running Lubuntu on an old netbook (released late 2009 / early 2010) that has an Atom processor and 1GB RAM. its lifespan has been extended and it's good for web browsing and email. youtube videos can get choppy full screen, but I have a phone, tablet, and Roku for those things anyway

At a glance looks solid. Find it a bit weird to order headset and mouse and keyboard through the same order (maybe I'm just more particular about researching these peripherals).
Headset: I would consider dropping the headset and just buying one after researching. Seems kinda silly to have a multi color headset IMO.
Keyboard: you have 2 keyboards listed there.
Mouse: Get a laser mouse, optical mouse isn't worthy of that kind of setup as it is the same kind you would use at work with the red dot.

One thing you could likely argue is going for a 1080 over a 2070, but . I don't know enough details without researching the motherboard + CPU to comment indepth on those choices. I assume they are compatible as it would be weird for iBUYPOWER to let you advance without them working together.

I had same thoughts -- I am particular about mouse, keyboard, headset, so I'd buy what I want, not what's in a bundle, but I don't know anything about those particular ones to dislike.

I also like the 1080, but don't know enough about the 2070 to say that I'd swap, I just have had good experience with the 1080.
