Default Grad School

Hi,

This thread is for me to contemplate and fantasize about going back to school as part of my quest for enlightenment.

Bye

http://advanced.jhu.edu/academics/gr...equirements-2/

hmm the Johns Hopkins MS program in Bioinformatics requires me to have at least a 3.0. Okay well I have that beat by a longshot so no problem there.

Other requirements:

Two semesters of Organic Chemistry (or 410.302 Bio-Organic Chemistry)
One semester of Biochemistry (or 410.601 Biochemistry)
Introduction to Programming Using Java, C++, or C (or 605.201 Introduction to Programming Using Java)
Data Structures (or 605.202 Data Structures)
One course in Probability and Statistics (or 410.645 Biostatistics) and
Calculus

I only have the last two of those...hmmmm

I have undergrad credits for bio 1, bio 2, and genetics.

So I can jump straight into Ochem...is there a way to get organic chemistry credits online?

All the prerequisites listed below can be taken from the existing Master of Science in Computer Science or in the Master of Science in Biotechnology program. Students who have not completed all the prerequisites may be admitted provisionally to complete the admission requirements.
It says I can take the remaining prereqs from the Biotech and CompSci masters programs. Maybe I should just get all three.

That seems like a job training MS (NTTAWWT), not so much an enlightenment program. What is your goal?

The JHU courses can be completed online

$3,000 + per course is expensive though

There's also one at Indiana. I think I might want to go there just so I can be friends with SliceApproximateIntegrate.

Any other degrees besides bioinformatics you've been debating?
