If he's going to be crunched down studying for the Math GRE subject test it's not going to make much of a difference.

Go to grad school- the best one you can get into. If you don't, you're gonna regret it later in life.

Even if it's a shitty school...getting a Ph. D in Physics is def. something worthy of note.
