Understood. The one I am referring to is solid IMO and cheap compared to others. State school, so others may frown, but IME the effort you put into the program will dictate what you get out of the program.

It would be unwise to get an MS in data science. You don't want a degree named after an industry buzzword that might no longer be "hot" or relevant in 10 years.

Irrelevant, because if your worth a damn, you will get a badass job NOW and work on badass projects for the next ten years. Experience is king my friend. No one will care in 10 years what your degree was if you have been adding value and progressing.

In 10 years, your degree should not matter. But you are picking a major where you'll have to job hop every few years.

I'm going to have to agree here. You might as well get a masters degree in synergy science.
