I don't see the point in listing your senior year GPA. A 3.29 GPA is very good for Petroleum Engineering. Might be a little lower than the Act. Sci. majors, but 3.3 for engineering is impressive. By listing the 3.87 in senior year, that makes me think (a) your grades in freshman year were relatively poor, (b) you took a bunch of soft classes senior year, or (c) both. Even if true, you don't want an employer thinking that.

The reasoning was that some of the classes in senior year grew in difficulty, especially capstone in that it was the culmination of everything we'd learned. But you have a fair point in that that would just highlight some of the downswings in my grades while in college.
