I didnít ask for a console, so I was pleasantly surprised. My dad said it was because he remembered me talking about RDR2 and how I thought heíd like it. I had an Xbox and a 360 for the previous gens. Iím happy with it either way, gonna pick up Halo imo.

My mom thinks I'm nuts now, but I bet you guys will appreciate the reason(s) why constructing the following gifts for OddSox puts me in the running for "best girlfriend in the history of the universe":

Spoiler:
This will be the first time he sees them framed too... he sleepin' and I'm impatient. I was thinking black at first, but the white just seemed... right.

They're nice: I like the contrast and the heroic theme!

Doing a free trial of Sea of Thieves (playing on PC)for the next week or two. Brother plays it and wanted me to try it. Not sure if I'll end up buying the game, but it is on sale for $30 for the next week from the original $60 (which is outrageous IMO). It is an open-world pirate game that is cross platform with Xbox. Has anybody else played this or still playing? Curious for some others' thoughts if so.

Got a PS4 controller for Rocket League (have always played on Xbox One controller) to try it out. Muscle memory is a bit out of whack with the joystick position which is exasperated by the fact that I use a very unconventional grip on the controller for Rocket League. Going to give it an extended try and see if I settle in with it. Turning definitely feels different, sometimes slower but also a bit more accurate. Also remember this is a change from an Xbox controller that has a completely worn down left thumbstick from the ginormous amount of hours I've put on Rocket League with it. If I don't end up liking the PS4 controller for long term I'll just buy a new Xbox One controller instead.

I played for a while with 2 friends. I didn't buy the game, I tried the 1 month game pass thing and it came with it for free. I had a lot of fun messing with other people, joking around with my friends, blasting out of canons, completing quests/ forts, and just general randomness. There's no "safe zone" so you're never really safe in the game. You could be killed in any moment by a random player. You could have a load of chests on your ship, and some other group could come along and sink you and steal everything. Although i had fun, i knew i wouldn't last more than a couple weeks playing it.

Aaaaaaaaand, i was right. It got to be very repetitive and there wasn't much to do after a while. This game was fun for a little while, but DEFINITELY not worth $60, it's closer to $20. After you complete a few quests and take down a skull fort, you realize there's not much else to do (side note: eff the merchant missions that require you to trap a chicken or pig, then keep the dang thing alive so you can return it. I don't think i completed a single one). There's no main quest. All the upgrades were purely cosmetic. It's been a while since i played, so maybe they implemented some more stuff. Unless they add a significant amount of new stuff to do, i'll probably not go back to play.

Thanks, that is similar to my first impressions as well. I did my first couple voyages playing solo late last night. The world is pretty cool, but there is a decent amount of dead time while sailing around. I saw a couple ships around but none came near me. Some giant shark bit the back of my boat and ended up sinking me. I repaired 5 holes, but I guess there were more below deck and I could only carry 5. I suppose I need to store the 5 on the ship and collect more as I explore in the future. I'll give it a good try this next week probably and decide if I want to keep it or not.

Sounds like the megaladon. I stopped playing around the time that came out. There's a kraken as well, hopefully it doesn't sink you after you pillaged a skull fort like it did for me.

If you're anything like me, you'll learn to hoard all the items and load them onto your boat. Whenever I was docked, i immediately looked for any wood/canon balls/bananas so i could put them in the barrels on my ship.

Pro tip: always fix the lower hulls first. That's where water is coming in and you need to plug them before you sink. You can even ignore holes in the upper level(meaning the ones above sea level) because water won't really come through them.
