Default Good luck, all! (Spring 2018 GIADV)

Our semiannual reminder, with dates updated:
Quote:
Just a reminder - SOA Fellowship Exams this session run from Apr 25-May 1. The Advanced Topics in General Insurance Exam is Apr 27.

This forum is a great place to get together after exams - HOWEVER -

PLEASE be careful about what you post while the exams are still taking place!

We will turn over to the SoA or CAS the IP address and whatever other information we have about anyone who compromises the security of exams in this forum.

When in doubt - WAIT - at least until the day after to discuss particulars.

Thanks! And GOOD LUCK ALL!!
The CAS website has had this statement in the rather distant past

Candidates are encouraged to post messages between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time on exam days.
On the AO: Please do not discuss the Advanced Topics in General Insurance Exam until after 9PM eastern time Apr 27. (Yes, we know the CAS has nothing to do with this exam, but it's the best guidance we have.)
Good luck wishes from me, all the other moderators, and Tom.

You do realize that this is not a CAS exam, Mod1?

And to the candidates: good luck, both of you.

Yes, my quote tags were misplaced. And they've been misplaced in all the "Good luck" threads I started today, and probably for all the ones I started in the past several years. Instead of

I will fix the other "Good luck" threads for this year's SOA General Insurance Exams.

Meh. Probably not a big deal. Does anyone actually take those?

The SOA reports results, saying a few people take them and a few pass. There are occasional AO posts about some of them. For the GI Advanced exam, the only post since my Fall 2016 Good luck thread was an offer from Actex, which got no responses but 920 views. With various ways of navigating the AO, some of those views could have been from people seeing the thread title without noticing what forum it was in.
