Default Resume building for internships

I have seen a few other people posting how they are having trouble finding summer internships even though they seem like qualified candidates, and it seems like the consensus is that there are just too many qualified candidates out there competing with each other.

I was wondering if there were any technical skills or other types of skills that a student could add to their resume that would help them stand out from the crowd?

A professor suggested taking an online class on VBA, but I was wondering if anyone could think of anything else that would help boost someone's resume to the top of the pile.

Technical skills: pass exams
Other skills: learn how to interview.

It doesn't help. I built a computer program that emulates interviews and I offers from all my emulated interviews, but I havent gotten a single real offer yet.

This suggests that your simulation may be faulty.

Or maybe it's just an effect of the OVERSATURATED market.

Trying to remember a post that I liked as much as this one. Nothing comes to mind.

Maybe 5 years ago when JAS (not jsakent) said I'm the poster she'd most like to meet.
